Insufficient Clearance
The towing eye will wear into jaw surface and willbe prevented from moving around the pin when turning.
This will put excessive strain on all towing components particularly when reversing, quickly leading to failure.
Excessive Clearance
Under braking, the back of the eye contacts the pin before the front of the eye can make contact with the throat of the jaw.
