Commercial Towing over 1525kg Unladen Weight
Vehicles over 1525kg unladen weight used commercially are subject to the Goods Vehicle (Plating & Testing) Regulations 1988, and are fitted with a Ministry Plate.
In addition to the MAM, a Gross Train Weight (combined MAM) figure is stated on the plate.
Trailers can be towed with these vehicles, provided that the combined weight of the vehicle and trailer does not exceed this figure.
