Carrying Livestock
Livestock should onlv be carried in a purpose built trailer constructed and maintained in accordance with the Welfare of Animals (Transport) Order 1997.
These regulations also cover aspects of loading and restraining animals to prevent injury or distress being caused to the animals.
The regulations are comprehensive and should be studied carefully before transporting animals in a vehicle or trailer.
